A Simple Idea That Meant Everything 🩵

Early Ladies Night Throwback – Summer 2017

One of my favorite things about our early Ladies Nights…

was how simple everything was.

We weren’t thinking about payouts.
We weren’t thinking about formats.

We were just trying to find a way to get more women into tournaments.

So we came up with something small… but meaningful.

đź’µ The $1 Pot

Every time you played, you threw $1 into a pot.

That was it.

No pressure. No expectations.

And when the pot got big enough…
we gave it back in the best way we could:

🎟 A chance to play in a tournament

🎉 Our First Winner

July 4th, 2017

We finally had enough money for our very first drawing.

Ashley Jensen became our first winner — taking home an entry into The Big Deal.

That moment felt huge.

Not just because someone won…
but because it meant we were actually helping each other take that next step into competitive play.

✨ More Than Just a Win

A couple weeks later, we did it again.

  • Charlotte won entry into the Solitude Open

  • Patricia won entry into the Cherry Peak Open…

…and then did something that still sticks with me.

Patricia donated her win to Kristi Ann đź’›

That’s the kind of community this was built on.

Supporting each other.
Lifting each other up.
Making sure more women had the chance to play.

🏷️ A Little More Structure Begins

July 18th, 2017

That same night also marked another first…

Our first league round with bag tags.

It was one of the first steps toward adding a little structure — while still keeping the heart of what made those nights special.
