What is Handicap Scoring?
Handicap scoring helps level the playing field so players of all skill levels can compete together. Instead of comparing raw scores, your score is adjusted based on your recent rounds — giving everyone a fair shot, whether you’re brand new to disc golf or have been playing for years.
Your handicap is calculated starting your second week of play, using your own past scores. As you improve, your handicap adjusts with you. This keeps things fun, competitive, and encouraging — and rewards consistency and growth over time.
Most importantly: handicap scoring means you can show up, play your game, and feel good about competing — no pressure, no intimidation, just supportive competition.
🏆Season Awards🏆
We love celebrating the players who show up, improve, and help make our community what it is each season.
To be eligible for end-of-season awards, players must be a 2026 Season Bag Tag holder. Throughout the season, players will earn points through attendance, CTP wins, and podium finishes.
Handicaps will be established after three weeks of play in the 2026 season, allowing everyone a fair starting point for competition and improvement tracking.
At the end of the season, we’ll recognize standout players with the following awards:
Most Improved Handicap
Rookie of the Year
Ladies Night MVP (Lady of the Year)
Sharp Shooter Award
Best Costume (Dress-up night: Tuesday, October 6th)
More details on the end-of-season celebration will be shared as we get closer.
