UTAH’S FIRST WOMENS ONLY DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT SERIES

2018 - Queen of the Hive - Creekside DGC

Salty Queens is a season-long Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA)-sanctioned disc golf tournament series offering women regular competitive opportunities in a supportive, community-centered environment.

Built from Utah’s long-running involvement with the PDGA Women’s Global Event—beginning with the first Queen of the Hive event in 2018—the series officially launched in 2025 and is now entering its second season.

The series brings together multiple events across different courses and dates each season, with a focus on thoughtful course selection and player pack items designed specifically with women in mind.

Salty Queens creates a competitive experience that values both performance and community—providing a space where women can challenge themselves, connect, and grow the game together.

👑 POINTS STRUCTURE 👑

The Salty Queens Series includes 6 events total, with players earning points based on their finishing position in each event.

👉 Your top 4 scoring events will count toward your overall series standings.

This allows flexibility for schedules while still rewarding consistent performance throughout the season.

✨ HOW POINTS WORK

Points are awarded per division
Points do not transfer between divisions
Players are ranked within their selected Salty Queens division

EXCEPTIONS TO DIVISION RULE

We have two special events where points can be applied differently:

🌍 Queen of the Hive VII (WGE – Women’s Global Event)

This event is part of a global PDGA competition.

Players may compete in the division where they are most competitive on a global level
During registration, you will select your preferred Salty Queens division
Your points from this event will be applied to that selected SQ division

🏆 US Women’s Disc Golf Championship (USWDGC)

This is a unique opportunity to celebrate and support players competing at the highest level.

All competitors will receive 150 points (equivalent to a 1st place finish)
Points will be applied to your preferred Salty Queens division
Finishing position at USWDGC does not affect points for this series

We will be celebrating the season with a Salty Queens Series Awards Ceremony!
